Junior lecturer Master’s Programme Neurosciences

The candidate must have completed a Master in Life Sciences, and should have a proven affinity and experience with education. Candidates who have completed or are close to completing a PhD are particularly encouraged to apply for this position. 

In addition, the candidate must  

• be fluent in English; 
• have strong oral and written communication skills; 
• possess good organizational skills; 
• be proactive and able to work independently; 
• having skills in scientific programming of R, Python or Matlab is a plus.

• a salary of minimum € 3.226,00 (Scale 10) and maximum € 5.090,00 (Scale 10) gross per month, on a full-time basis. This is based on UFO profile Teacher 4. The exact salary depends on your education and experience.
• a position for 0.8 FTE. Your employment contract will be for a set period of 50 months, with a probation period of two months.

• A full-time 38-hour working week comes with a holiday leave entitlement of 232 hours per year. If you choose to work 40 hours, you have 96 extra holiday leave hours on an annual basis. For part-timers, this is calculated pro rata.

The junior lecturer position is ideally suited for starting teachers. The appointment is for 4 years and 2 months, including a period of probation of 2 months. The junior lecturer position is embedded in the Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research (https://cncr.nl) The position is available with a start date at August 15 or September 1st 2024.
